Karrion Kross hopes for NXT Championship match at WWE WrestleMania 37

"I hope the company is listening to that because there seems to be an interest and a demand for that."

Karrion Kross would love to have a shot at the NXT Championship against Finn Bálor at WrestleMania 37.

Kross had to relinquish the title he won from Keith Lee last August just four days after his championship win, due to a separated shoulder, returning from the set-back only three months later.

In the 35-year-old's absence, Bálor picked up the vacant title and has enjoyed classic matches against the likes of Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly and Pete Dunne, but Kross is yet to receive a rematch for the title he never lost.

With the lack of a NXT TakeOver event announced for the weekend of 9/10 April 2021, speculation is rife that the NXT Championship could be defended at WrestleMania 37, and Kross likes the idea of getting his chance to win the title back against Bálor on 'The Grandest Stage Of Them All'.

When asked if he's like his shot at WrestleMania 37, Kross told FOX Sports: "100 percent. Yes, I would. I don’t know where that began – whether it was online or if it was Finn’s suggestion through another interview – but people have been creating these pictures where they post the both of us with the WrestleMania background for weeks now. I hope the company is listening to that because there seems to be an interest and a demand for that.

"I hope fans get what they’re looking for because I’d be more than happy to step up on "The Grandest Stage of Them All" and do that."

Kross has nothing but praise for Bálor's second run with the NXT title, and is looking forward to matching up with the reigning champion as soon as he can.

He added: "He’s gone through virtually every single major name in NXT. He’s had killer matches. And that’s what this company is all about. When someone is not able to carry the ball for one reason or another, we’ve got the best guys in the world ready to step up, and he did that.

"If the situation were reversed, I would have done it as well, and I’m looking forward to eventually stepping into the ring to compete with him."
