Karrion Kross' WWE Faction Name Revealed?

On last week's WWE SmackDown (a special edition entitled New Year's Revolution) we saw the arrival of a new faction featuring Karrion Kross, the returning Authors of Pain, and managers Paul Ellering and Scarlett.

The collective beat down Bobby Lashley and the Street Profits, but didn't yet provide an explanation for their actions or alliance. However, an official name for the group could have been revealed ahead of time.

As pointed out by Andrew Ravens of WrestlingNews.co, WWE recently filed a trademark for a particular term which would seem to fit the bill. Ravens explains:

"On January 7, WWE filed for the “Final Testament." The trademark is listed for entertainment purposes. Although it could be the name of Kross’ new finisher, it’s likely the name of the new faction."

It's worth noting that Kross' t-shirt on SmackDown bore a similar (although not identical) phrase, reading "Final Prayer."

The Authors of Pain - also known as Akam and Rezar - enjoyed a four-year stint with WWE between 2016 and 2020, winning the NXT and Raw Tag Team titles in that period. However, their time was also hampered by injury, and they were released from their contracts on September 4, 2020.
