Kazuchika Okada Discusses Matches Against CM Punk, Bryan Danielson For Forbidden Door

We are less than months away from AEW and NJPW’s eagerly anticipated Forbidden Door PPV, and ahead of any matches being announced for the show, armchair bookers, wrestling journalists, and industry veterans have been proposing all sorts of dream matches.
But now, The Rainmaker has spoken.
During an interview with Sports Illustrated, IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada spoke of the Forbidden Door show, and mentioned two AEW names he would like to face:
“Forbidden Door with AEW has just been announced, and all the fans are predicting various matches. I believe the day will come when I wrestle CM Punk and Bryan Danielson,” said Okada.
Okada has made no secret of his desire to face CM Punk and Bryan Danielson, with the CHAOS figurehead stating his desire to face either man before they retire during an interview back in January 2022.
Either match up would likely be a potential Match of the Year candidate, as would a potential Kazuchika Okada vs. Kenny Omega rematch.
