Kazuchika Okada Vs. Will Ospreay Set For NJPW Battle In The Valley

Will Ospreay is set for a big month ahead of leaving NJPW

Will Ospreay’s time in NJPW is very shortly coming to an end. It was announced back at the Full Gear 2023 PPV that Ospreay had signed with AEW, though he wouldn’t be coming in full-time until his deal with NJPW had come to a close. It was revealed this week that Ospreay’s final match would come at New Beginning on February 11 when his United Empire faction takes on Bullet Club inside a Steel Cage - the first of this match type in NJPW for two decades.

Another match for Ospreay has been announced before he finishes up with the company, and it will see him take on Kazuchika Okada at Battle in the Valley on January 13.

This comes from a challenge issued by Ospreay who claimed he felt as though he had unfinished business with Okada after their battle in the G1 Climax last year. Okada is on the back of a huge victory at Wrestle Kingdom 18 against Bryan Danielson, whereas Ospreay lost out on winning the IWGP Global Championship in a triple threat match involving David Finlay and Jon Moxley.
