Kenny Omega Hopes CM Punk Is Doing Well Following AEW All Out Backstage Fight

Kenny Omega on Brawl Out and CM Punk

Kenny Omega has opened up about the backstage fight that involved himself, The Young Bucks, CM Punk, and Ace Steel following the All Out pay-per-view in September 2022. 'Brawl Out' occurred after Punk's now-infamous post-pay-per-view press conference in which he took shots at The Elite, Colt Cabana, and Hangman Page.

All Elite Wrestling have not publicly acknowledged that a fight ever took place but reports noted that a brawl occurred in Punk's locker room that saw Nick Jackson get hit by a chair and Ace Steel bite Kenny Omega. The five individuals were suspended by AEW and The Elite have since returned, while Ace Steel was fired. If CM Punk is still suspended is unknown but he is currently out of action anyway with a torn triceps that he suffered in the All Out main event.

Appearing on The Sessions with Renee Paquette, Omega acknowledged that nobody involved was happy about Brawl Out but he hoped CM Punk and Ace Steel were doing well.

"It's a shame the general public aren't ever going to know what went down and how it could have been prevented, how it could have ended differently. That's how things go in a big business operation. I don't think anyone is happy or proud that it happened or anything like that. I think across the board everyone thinks it was a terrible situation that was unnecessary," Omega began.

He continued: "Yeah, I really do (feel the atmosphere has cleared up). There was a time where, and I can understand the confusion, it's sort of like 'Hey, we know this thing happened, we heard this thing happened, it's all over the dirt sheets, why don't we know what happened?' And we're gone and we're kind of sworn to secrecy. We can't say anything legally. So that was the poopy part where it was like 'Well why doesn't anyone tell us what's happening?' and then you're forced to form your own opinions.

"What's important was no one was seriously injured emerging from that and I'm so thankful for that. We've moved on with life, I'm completely fine. It doesn't dictate what I do, what I say, I'm sure The Bucks are in the same boat. I can't speak to the other parties, hopefully they are doing well and I mean that."

If CM Punk will return to AEW when he recovers from injury is unknown. Some, including Mark Henry, have advocated for him to be brought back.
