Kenny Omega Says He’s “Bigger Than Ibushi” On IMPACT

The AEW World Champion and Don Callis were in the IMPACT Zone last night

IMPACT Wrestling last night saw AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and Don Callis make their presence felt once more, with the two hyping up Omega’s upcoming Champion vs. Champion Winner Takes All match with IMPACT Unified World Champion Rich Swann at IMPACT Rebellion on April 24.

At one point Callis was in ring talking up Omega’s accomplishments, saying the Cleaner was bigger than Karl Gotch, Georg Hackenschmidt, Lou Thesz, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, and Jon Moxley, before Omega interjected with “bigger than Ibushi.”

This may have been a throwaway comment by Omega, but it has set the internet alight, with many clamouring for a championship clash between the former Golden Lovers.

As such, if Omega defeats Rich Swann to add the IMPACT Title to his AEW World Title, and AAA Mega Championship, then surely Kota Ibushi's IWGP World Heavyweight Championship could be next on his list. With the ‘forbidden door’ between IMPACT, AEW, and NJPW wide open, it is certainly a possibility that the match could happen.
