Kenny Omega Vs. Hijo Del Vikingo Set For AAA Triplemania Regia

Kenny Omega will defend his AAA Mega Championship against Mexican wrestling star El Hijo del Vikingo later this year.

AAA announced during a press conference on Monday that Omega will put the gold on the line at Triplemania Regia on Saturday, December 4. The show will take place at Estadio de Beisbol Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico.

Omega will have been AAA Mega Champion for over two years by December 4. He has successfully defended the title against the likes of Laredo Kid, Andrade El Idolo, Sammy Guevara and Dragon Lee. 

The Best Bout Machine has wanted to face Vikingo for a while and he tweeted back in July that he wanted to crush the luchador's future, much like he did to Jungle Boy in AEW. 

Cain Velasquez will also make his return to AAA at Triplemania Regia alongside Psycho Clown and Pagano against Rey Escorpion, Black Taurus and a surprise partner.

Luchablog also noted Dorian Roldan said during the press conference that the plan was for The Lucha Brothers and Dragon Lee & Dralistico to be in action on December 4, possibly against new AAA Tag Team Champions FTR. The promotion were still working out the details with AEW, though.
