Key On-Screen WWE Figure Undergoes Surgery

An on-screen WWE figure has undergone surgery

A key on-screen WWE figure has undergone surgery after reports had revealed an injury had recently occurred.

SmackDown General manager Nick Aldis is believed to have suffered a ruptured bicep despite no longer being an in-ring competitor, with the news originally broken by PWInsider. Aldis himself has taken to social media to confirm his injury, posting the following on X/Twitter:

“Yes, I just got out of surgery for a ruptured bicep tendon, and yes, the sheets had it within minutes. God bless 'em. Must be a slow news day...anyway it was a freak accident, I'm on the mend, and I will continue to fulfil my obligations. #SmackDown,” posted Aldis alongside a selfie featuring his arm in a sling.

Per Aldis’ words it doesn’t seem like he is set to miss any screen time. The injury couldn’t have occurred at a worse time, with WWE on the road to WrestleMania XL on April 6 and April 7.

Aldis has been with WWE since late 2023, debuting as the SmackDown GM in October 2023 after joining in a backstage capacity in August.
