Hooded Figure On WWE NXT's Identity Revealed

Who was under the hood on WWE NXT revealed

WWE NXT on Tuesday, March 19 continued the build to Trick Williams vs. Carmelo Hayes at Stand & Deliver.

The main event of the March 19 show saw Trick Williams defeat Noam Dar and a hooded figure appeared on the ramp following the final match of the show. Trick Williams believed the figure was Carmelo Hayes and urged him to come to the ring, only for three other hooded figures to surround the ring, with one of them revealing themselves to actually be Carmelo Hayes, who proceeded to attack his former tag team partner.

According to Fightful Select, NXT referee Darryl Sharma was the hooded figure on the entrance ramp. Sharma actually refereed a match on the show, with some pointing out that Sharma and the hooded figure were wearing the same trainers. NXT sources also confirmed to Fightful that it was Sharma under the hood.

Sharma, AKA Adrian Butler, does have a history in pro wrestling beyond his time as a WWE referee. He wrestled from 2002 until 2016, primarily as Hornet on the Canadian independent wrestling scene. He had a brief run in Dragon Gate back in 2007.

Both Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes look set to have bright futures in WWE. Williams is reportedly viewed as a future WrestleMania main eventer within the company.
