Konnan Still In Talks With WWE Over Inducting Rey Mysterio Into The Hall Of Fame

Who will induct Rey Mysterio into the WWE Hall of Fame has not been finalised as of yet. 

Following the announcement that Mysterio would be going into the WWE Hall of Fame, it was noted by the Los Angeles Times and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer that Konnan had been asked to induct Rey into the Hall of Fame. 

Speaking with MuscleManMalcolm, Konnan confirmed Mysterio had reached out about the WWE Hall of Fame induction but the AAA booker is still in negotiations with WWE over the situation.

"I would be very disappointed if it wasn't me, but Rey has asked me, and so we're still negotiating. Until they officially announce it, I really can't say anything on it, but I have been contacted," Konnan said.

Konnan is a lifelong friend of Mysterio's and they teamed together in World Championship Wrestling as part of the Filthy Animals. Konnan is also the godfather of Dominik Mysterio, who offered to donate his kidney to Konnan during the AAA legend's recent health issues.
