Kota Ibushi Calls Out Konosuke Takeshita Following AEW Double Or Nothing

Could Kota Ibushi be setting up a move to AEW to help The Elite?

Kota Ibushi has called out AEW's Konosuke Takeshita following the latter's heel turn at AEW Double or Nothing this past weekend.

A tweet made by Dark Puroresu Flowsion (@PuroresuFlow) reports:

"When speaking with Kota Ibushi he gave me his thoughts on the newly turned BCC member Konosuke Takeshita: 'I never thought he was that great. He is a made imitation of me. Also, he never respected me.'"

It should be noted that it hasn't yet been made clear whether Takeshita is indeed a member of the Blackpool Combat Club. Although he and Don Callis assisted the stable in their main event victory over The Elite, they appeared to stand separately from the BCC's celebrations afterwards.

Ibushi's potential involvement is interesting, given his history with Kenny Omega. Even before Takeshita's turn, many speculated on social media that Ibushi could become involved in the feud between the two factions, siding with Omega and The Elite.

Ibushi is currently a free agent, having most recently wrestled for GCW at Josh Barnett's Bloodsport and Joey Janela's Spring Break during WrestleMania week. These matches represented a return from injury for the former New Japan main-eventer, who also briefly appeared in WWE as an entrant in the 2016 Cruiserweight Classic tournament.
