Kota Ibushi Reveals Plans To Start His Own Promotion

Kota Ibushi has revealed his eventual post-NJPW plans

With reports stating that Kota Ibushi’s NJPW contract is set to expire in January 2023, wrestling fans have speculated what could be next for the inaugural IWGP World Heavyweight Champion.

If Ibushi does not re-sign with NJPW, then many have assumed he will set sail for AEW when healthy, but Ibushi said the following to Dark Puroresu Flowsion

"My plan for the future is to have my own promotion and do a lot of volunteering. There are really big offers from AEW and all over the world, but I would like to make a contribution, but rather than visiting nursing homes and so on. Of course, I am also thinking of giving back to professional wrestling. Vinegar.

“I'm happy! So in 2023, I'm thinking of contributing to the world and giving back to professional wrestling. And above all, I want to liven up the world with professional wrestling. I’m also a player,” said Ibushi.

Dark Puroresu Flowsion later added that Ibushi responded in English, hence some of the wording being off, to which Ibushi apologised on Twitter.
