Kurt Angle To Have Another Neck Surgery In 2024

Kurt Angle will have artificial discs put in his neck.

WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle is set to undergo another neck operation early next year.

The Olympic gold medallist's neck issues are well-documented and he has had various procedures to try and remedy them over the decades. During a recent edition of The Kurt Angle Show podcast, Angle confirmed that he will have artificial discs placed in his neck in order to help improve his degenerating motor skills.

"Just so you know, I'm having neck surgery [at the] beginning of next year. They're going to put in artificial disc replacements and it's going to help [his hands]. I can't really grab things and things always slip out of my hands and fall. I have horrible motor skills. My arms, they actually atrophied three inches each, and I don't have any muscle [between his thumb and finger], this is completely flat. They're supposed to be muscle in there but it deteriorated. Atrophied. So when I get these rubber discs or disc replacements, they're going to open up the nerves so they can go down my arm so I can have better circulation," Angle said.

Kurt noted that the recovery time for the surgery will be around two weeks.

Early this year, Angle spoke about the poor quality of life he currently has owing to his various wrestling-related injuries, noting that he wishes he had retired from the business earlier.
