LA's Globe Theatre Saved, Will Remain Open

The Globe Theatre in LA will remain open after being saved from closure

Earlier this week is reported that The Globe Theatre in Los Angeles was set to close, with the venue home to Pro Wrestling Guerrilla for the past several years.

The news saw an outpouring of tributes from those within PWG and from across the American independent scene, with the news originally broken by Prestige Wrestling who were set to hold a Combat Princess show with Tokyo Joshi Pro in the building.

In an update, Prestige have revealed that The Globe has been saved from closure, and their planned show will indeed be going ahead in the venue:

“After searching for a new venue and confirming a new location for our joint show with TJPW, we were told tonight by venue management……… THE GLOBE THEATRE WILL NOW REMAIN OPEN!

“We're not going to get into any of their private details (as we know very little about it), but we have been told contracts are in place that will allow The Globe Theatre to remain open for years to come. COMBAT PRINCESS USA will take place as planned on December 14th in Los Angeles, CA at The Globe Theatre! We’re very sorry for any concern and we look forward to an incredible show!”

The Globe has also played host to the likes of NJPW and IMPACT amongst others.
