LA's Globe Theatre Shuts Down

The Globe Theatre in LA has closed its doors

The Globe Theatre in Los Angeles has closed, effective immediately.

The theatre has served as the home of cult indie promotion Pro Wrestling Guerrilla since 2018, but it looks like PWG will have to find a new home when they return.

The news was revealed by Prestige Wrestling On Twitter/X, who wrote the following:

“We were notified today that The Globe Theatre in Los Angeles will be closing for good immediately. We will be announcing a venue change ASAP for our joint show with Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling! All tickets will be honoured & the show will still take place as planned.”

PWG started running The Globe in 2018 after the sale of their former home the American Legion Hall in Reseda, California. The promotion's co-founder Super Dragon recently revealed PWG were set to go on hiatus for the remainder of 2023 due to personal matters, with PWG Twenty: Mystery Vortex in August serving as both the final PWG show of 2023, as well as the final PWG show in The Globe Theatre.

Other promotions that have ran The Globe include New Japan Pro-Wrestling and IMPACT Wrestling, amongst others.
