Update On Status Of PWG
PWG won't be back in 2023
PWG hasn’t been overly active in 2023, with this past year seeing just three events held by the promotion. Discounting the pandemic, this has been PWG’s least active year since its inception back in 2003. An update has been provided on where PWG has been, and what to expect going forwards, with it being confirmed that there will be no more PWG events held this year.
Super Dragon revealed on the PWG X account that personal issues outside of the ring had taken focus elsewhere, meaning that the company’s activities have been put on hold for now.
“I know a lot of you have been wondering what is going on with PWG and why there haven't been many events this year. My girlfriend has been very sick and battling an aggressive cancer since earlier this year. It's been incredibly difficult for me to focus on anything else.”
A subsequent tweet confirmed that PWG would go silent until the end of the year, but a return in 2024 would happen as soon as possible.
