Name Of Christian Cage's AEW Faction Revealed

Christian Cage’s gang of followers has grown in numbers over the last couple of months, with the young Nick Wayne joining the duo of Cage and Luchasaurus back at the WrestleDream PPV event at the start of October. 

The trio have been strong and together on AEW programming, with Cage even inciting Wayne to insult his own mother and leave her shocked and alone in a backstage interview. Before now, the group hasn’t had a collective name, but it looks as though Cage’s fatherly obsession has influenced a name for the faction. 

During the main event of last night’s AEW Collision which saw the team of Sting, Darby Allin, and Adam Copeland defeat Lance Archer & The Righteous, the commentary team mentioned Cage’s group collectively as “The Patriarchy”. This of course could’ve been off the cuff, but given that it was mentioned multiple names, it looks as though this will be the name of the stable going forwards, which fits Cage’s character perfectly. The Patriarchy will be taking on Copeland, Sting, and Allin at the upcoming 2023 Full Gear PPV.
