Lance Archer Returns On AEW Dynamite, Attacks Adam Page

A new challenger for "Hangman"

After injuring himself in a match on Dynamite several months ago, Lance Archer returned on Wednesday night's Dynamite in Raleigh, NC, attacking World champion Adam Page in the process.

After defeating Bryan Danielson in a title match last week, Page came out Wednesday to cut a promo, indicating that he was looking for a new challenger. This brought out Dan Lambert, who got into a verbal back and forth with Page. Suddenly, Archer's music hit, causing a frightened Lambert to run into the ring. Archer initially went after Lambert, before redirecting and clotheslining Page.

The attack concluded with Archer giving Page the Black Out onto a steel chair.

Archer has been out of action since October, after jamming his neck on a moonsault while wrestling Eddie Kingston in the quarterfinal round of the World Title Eliminator tournament. As a result of the mishap, the two audibled into a quick finish with Kingston winning.

Archer has challenged for the AEW World title once previously, losing to Jon Moxley on Dynamite's first anniversary show on October 14, 2020 in Jacksonville.
