Latest On When Kenny Omega Will Make AEW Return

Kenny Omega has been out of an AEW ring for nearly a  year, last competing on the December 5 edition of AEW Collision in a winning effort against Ethan Page. Omega had to take time away due to suffering from diverticulitis, which required him to undergo surgery and a lengthy recovery process. 

In recent weeks, Omega has teased a comeback, heading over to Japan to hype up the Wrestle Dynasty event which features talent from NJPW, AEW, CMLL and Stardom, taking place on January 5 in the Tokyo Dome next year. A tag team bout between Omega & Tanahashi and The Young Bucks is on the cards if Omega can get cleared to compete in time. 

Another of Omega’s close allies, Kota Ibushi, has drummed up more talk of Omega returning, but has claimed that it still won’t be for around two to three months. Speaking on Yuji Nagata’s YouTube Channel, Ibushi said that Omega will still be out for two or three months, if not more, before making his comeback to the ring. This comes just a few weeks after Ibushi teased himself and Omega would be returning “soon”.
