WWE title on the line against Samoa Joe at Extreme Rules...

WWE Champion Kofi Kingston picked up an injury on Sunday night at a live event, casting his availability for Extreme Rules this coming Sunday into some doubt.
However, while Kofi did suffer a knock, it's not serious enough to keep him out of the pay-per-view match against Samoa Joe.
Per a report from
Wrestling Inc, The New Day member "did not wrestle at Monday's live event in Glens Falls, New York and announced early in the show that he would not be wrestling due to an injury."
Wrestling Inc
later provided an update: "Kofi said he was injured the night before, during the win over Ziggler in Binghamton, NY. Kofi added that he would be ready for Sunday's Extreme Rules pay-per-view, indicating just a minor injury."
Kofi defeated Dolph Ziggler in the main event of WWE's house shows in Utica and Binghamton on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
With a huge WWE Championship match at the Extreme Rules on Sunday, by not having Kingston wrestle last night there is a chance WWE are giving their SmackDown Live champion a bit of a breather from in-ring action.
