Drew McIntyre's current WWE contract is longer than initially believed.

McIntyre signed a new deal with WWE in April 2024, just one month before his contract with the organisation was due to expire. McIntyre's new deal was a high-profile re-signing for WWE, with it being announced by The Rock after he sent his fellow former WWE Champion a sword as a gift.

It was initially believed that McIntyre's new contract was three years in length, but Fightful Select has reported that Irn Dru's deal has two and a half years left, suggesting he actually put pen to paper on a four-year deal with the company in April 2024. McIntyre is under contract beyond WrestleMania 44 in 2028.

McIntyre's salary on his current WWE contract is said to be worth millions of dollars per year.

The 40-year-old remains a top star on WWE programming and is currently locked in a feud with Cody Rhodes over the Undisputed WWE Championship, with the programme likely to continue after Cody used nefarious means to retain the title at the November 1 edition of Saturday Night's Main Event.
