Lio Rush Suffers Injury At PWG Battle Of Los Angeles 2022
A stint on the sidelines for Rush?
Lio Rush is dealing with an injury following Sunday's Battle Of Los Angeles show from the Globe Theatre.
Rush went one-on-one with fellow former WWE Superstar Buddy Matthews in the second round of BOLA and The Man Of The Hour won the match by DQ, an incredibly rare finish for PWG.
During the finish, Matthews connected with a Curb Stomp and Buddy continued to attack his opponent while the referee tried to check on Rush. As a result, Matthews was disqualified.
Matthews then announced later in the show that he would be taking Rush's place in the tournament because The Man Of The Hour had been taken to hospital. The 33-year-old then subsequently lost to "Speedball" Mike Bailey.
Rush has taken to Twitter since being hospitalised, writing: "Just being honest with you guys here. I'm not good. But i will be good. And when I'm back, I'll be dangerous. #ManOfTheHour."
