Major Name Enters 2024 WWE Royal Rumble Match

On last night's WWE Raw, a major name declared himself an entrant in the 2024 men's Royal Rumble match.

Last night's show saw CM Punk not only sign a contract confirming his status as a Raw Superstar, but also announce his intention to enter the Rumble match.

He made the announcement to close a fiery segment between himself and Seth Rollins, who had their highly-anticipated first encounter since Punk's shock return to WWE at Survivor Series WarGames. At one stage, the World Heavyweight Champion declared that he'd wrestle rings around Punk in the event of a title match between the two, showing him what it really means to be the 'best in the world.' Punk retorted that he's always done things the hard way, and stressed that 'when' he wins the Royal Rumble match, he may decide to go after Seth's title. 

Aside from Punk, Cody Rhodes is the only other WWE Superstar to have confirmed his entry into the men's version of the match. No women's Rumble entrants are yet known. 

The Royal Rumble event is set to take place on January 27 in Florida's Tropicana Field. Aside from the men's and women's Royal Rumble matches, no other bouts have yet been announced.
