The New Day might not be splitting up after all.

There have been issues between Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston on Monday Night Raw in recent months, with Woods expressing his frustration at his inability to win as both a tag team and singles wrestler. This frustration continued on the October 7 edition of WWE Raw as Woods declined to make the save for Jey Uso after the former Consequences Creed unsuccessfully challenged for the Intercontinental Championship.

While a split within the New Day looked to be on the horizon with Woods turning on Kofi, WRKD Wrestling has reported potential plans would see Big E reunite the New Day if the former WWE Champion is cleared to make an in-ring return.

Big E has been sidelined since he suffered a broken neck following a belly-to-belly suplex in March 2022. The 38-year-old is able to live a normal life but he has not been cleared for an in-ring return as his neck vertebrae have not formed new bone and ossified.

Big E has remained active in WWE, becoming a regular on the company's pre-show panels for pay-per-views/premium live events.
