Matt Hardy Still A Free Agent Despite TNA Rebellion Return

Matt will appear when he wants to appear.

Matt Hardy made his return to TNA Wrestling at this past weekend's Rebellion pay-per-view, emerging after the TNA World Title match between Moose and Nic Nemeth.

Hardy (in his 'Broken' persona) laid out Moose and posed with the TNA World Title belt as the show went off the air. Despite this angle, it appears as though the 49-year-old hasn't signed a deal with the company.

Responding to a fan on X (formerly Twitter) asking whether he had put pen to paper with TNA, Hardy wrote: "No. I'm a free agent. I will appear when I want to appear".

Matt left AEW earlier this month after his contract expired, having initially signed with them in 2020. He has since been remove from the roster page on the AEW website. Hardy subsequently revealed that, now a free agent, he had been talking with AEW, WWE and several other promotions.

Matt's brother Jeff is still a member of the AEW roster. However, recent reports indicate that his contract may expire sooner than expected. Jeff is currently sidelined with an injury suffered during his match with Sammy Guevara at the February 14 Rampage tapings.
