Max Caster Stepping Away From Pro Wrestling For Extended Period Of Time

Max Caster has been a heavy focus on headlines in the professional wrestling world in recent weeks, but he is now seeking to do the complete opposite. The start of the month saw Caster’s AEW contract officially expire, although he had been off TV for quite some time. It emerged that Caster had made contact with TNA, debuting at the Bound For Glory PLE, before a controversial rap got him in hot water, with the company quickly cutting ties with him. 

During an appearance at an ACW independent event, Caster took to the mic to apologize to and thank the fans in the arena and beyond, before revealing he was going to take an extended absence from professional wrestling. 

"I don’t know if everyone here is aware of what happened with me this past week. If you don’t know, in the span of one day I started a contract and ended a contract with TNA Wrestling. And I put out a statement, I addressed it, I apologised to a lot of people but the one group I didn’t get to apologise to was all the fans. So guys, I really appreciate the support. Everybody who’s reached out after this happened, a lot of people were excited to watch TNA for the first time. A lot of people were excited to come back to the product. And now a lot of people are disappointed that I’m not on the show. 

"But you know what? Thank you guys here tonight at ACW for welcoming me. For that I say I love you and thank you. I don’t know what my next move is. I don’t know where I’ll be but I will be stepping away from the ring for an extended period of time. So I’m gonna go home, I’m gonna go to therapy. I’m gonna get it right so the next time I’m in the ring it feels like I’m at home just like you guys made me feel here tonight. So, finally for the last time in a long time, you are looking live at the Best Wrestler Alive." 

It isn’t clear when or if Caster will be back in the ring.
