Mick Foley Reveals He Clashed With Vince McMahon Over WWE's Exploding Limo Angle

The Hall of Famer was upset about the controversial angle due to his work with US service members

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley has revealed that he once butted heads with Vince McMahon over a controversial angle the former Chairman was involved in.

Speaking on a recent edition of his Foley is Pod podcast, the Hardcore Legend outlined the issues he had with the storyline where the Mr. McMahon character blew up in a limousine.

Foley was so upset about it - due to the work he was doing with injured service members - that he and McMahon ended up having a 45-minute 'shouting match' over it.

"I was really upset about it. I had about a 45-minute talk/shouting match with Mr. McMahon, because I hated that angle, because at the time I was doing quite a bit with the injured service members and I was always working with kids who are facing challenges", the former WWE Champion said.

Mick went on to reveal that Vince didn't have an issue with it, as he believed the audience were able to make the distinction between him and his character.

"I remember saying, 'You know who does think you're dead? A child...A US Service member...These are people coming up to me asking about you'. And he goes, 'Mick, Vince McMahon didn't die. Mr. McMahon died', and I went, 'Do you think our fans know the difference?'. He goes, 'Of course they do'".

The 'who killed Mr. McMahon?' angle was dropped after a few weeks due to the Benoit family tragedy.
