Mixed Tag Team Bout Set For IMPACT Slammiversary 2021

Who will partner with Matt Cardona?

Matt Cardona will need to find himself a tag-team partner for IMPACT Slammiversary 2021 this weekend as he prepares to take on Brian Myers and Tenille Dashwood.

Cardona and Myers have been feuding in IMPACT Wrestling for a number of months, with the former returning to television last week after being out of action, courtesy of an orbital bone injury sustained at the hands of Myers.

On this week's IMPACT, Myers was searching for back-up as he prepared to confront Jake Something, finding someone who he believed had a bone to pick with Cardona. As Cardona, Myers, Something and Sam Beale confronted each other in the ring, Dashwood came out dropped Cardona with a low-blow.

Backstage, Scott D'Amore asked Cardona if he could find someone to team with to take on Myers and Dashwood at Slammiversary 2021. Cardona repeated the date of the event to himself, July 17, before indicating he had someone in mind. D'Amore then said that Slammiversary is going to be 'a hot mess'.

All indications are that Chelsea Green is set for a return to the IMPACT Zone and will team with her real-life fiancée. Green was released by WWE on April 15 and was let out of her non-compete early so she could appear at ROH Best In The World last weekend.

It is worth noting, however, that Green is not confirmed or advertised for the show.
