More Names Declare For WWE Royal Rumble
More superstars confirmed for WWE Royal Rumble 2024
January means that the Royal Rumble is just around the corner, with the upcoming 37th edition of the event set for January 27 in Florida’s Tropicana Field.
With several weeks to go until the Rumble, we are starting to see the first few names confirming their spots in the famous match, with Becky Lynch and Shinsuke Nakamura the latest to put their names forward for the women’s and men’s Royal Rumble matches respectively.
Lynch famously won the Royal Rumble in 2019, before going on to headline WrestleMania 35, whilst Nakamura won the Rumble in 2018, setting up a much-hyped clash with AJ Styles at WrestleMania 34.
Nakamura becomes the third competitor to declare for the Royal Rumble, following on from favourites CM Punk and Cody Rhodes - Nakamura and Rhodes are currently embroiled in a feud. Likewise, Lynch is the third name to declare for the women’s Rumble, joining Bayley, and longtime rival Nia Jax.
The latest announcements were made on a WWE 2024 Preview Special on Peacock, and as the weeks roll on we can expect a whole host of other names to confirm their participation in the hallowed match.
