Mustafa Ali last appeared on WWE TV back on the December 13, 2019 episode of Friday Night SmackDown when he teamed with Shorty G against The Revival. The former Heart Of 205 Live wrestled in dark matches against the likes of Apollo Crews and Drew Gulak until February 2020 but he hadn't wrestled at all since then.

This changed last night as Ali returned to WWE TV on Monday Night Raw. His return came about after MVP insulted Ricochet and Cedric Alexander. The tag team were happy to take Porter's insults, however, as they revealed they weren't alone and Ali suddenly appeared behind them. The former SmackDown star then teamed with The One And Only and Queen City's Favourite Son against MVP, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin and he picked up the win after hitting the self-proclaimed United States Champion with a 450 Splash.

Ali returning to WWE TV on Raw won't come as a surprise to many as reports back in June noted the Superstar had been quietly moved to the red brand, despite being listed as a SmackDown Superstar on WWE.com. Some thought he would be revealed as the SmackDown Hacker earlier in the year but this angle has seemingly been dropped by the company.
