This week's episode of Monday Night Raw suffered from numerous technical glitches and audio issues. The lights flickered on and off during Apollo Crews' United States Title defence against MVP and microphones kept cutting out during promos. Tom Phillips claimed on commentary the disruption was caused by a storm in the area, but WWE's digital team had teased the debut of a new faction earlier in the day and many believed they were the culprits.
Fans didn't have to wait long to have their suspicions confirmed as security footage at the Performance Center showed five masked men throwing Molotov cocktails at a generator, setting it on fire in the process.
Little is known about the new group, but WWE revealed the stable is called RETRIBUTION and their sole aim is to cause chaos on Monday nights.
Why the wrestling behemoth decided to introduce a new faction is currently unknown, but Dave Meltzer noted on F4W Online that WWE has returned to the "90s mentality of factions."
