Report: IMPACT Wrestling Running 2-Night Special Event On August 18 And August 25

At Slammiversary 2020, IMPACT Wrestling captured the attention of the professional wrestling world. Multiple former WWE Superstars including Eric Young, The Good Brothers, EC3 and Heath either returned or debuted in the promotion, and numerous matches including The Motor City Machine Guns vs. The Rascalz, the IMPACT World Championship Five Way match, and Jordynne Grace vs. Deonna Purrazzo were marked out for praise. 

The episode of IMPACT! following Slammiversary also received a boost in the ratings, and the promotion is seemingly looking to capitalise on the renewed interest as Sean Ross Sapp at Fightful revealed IMPACT's next major event is only two weeks away. Similar to AEW Fyter Fest 2020, "Emergence" will be broadcast on August 18 and August 25 on AXS TV as a 2-night special event. 

Little is known about the two shows, but Sapp did reveal the August 25 event will be headlined by a rematch between Deonna Purrazzo and Jordynne Grace for the Knockouts Championship. The match will also have a special stipulation.
