Netflix have some requests regarding the Raw roster, prior to WWE's flagship show debuting on the streaming giant in January.

According to a report by Fightful Select, Netflix have asked that WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns and CM Punk are part of the package.

WWE responded that the rosters are not set as of yet, with one higher-up joking: "Saudi wanted Yokozuna, we want Yokozuna back too, and I'm sure Netflix does, too".

This is in reference to Saudi authorities asking for Yokozuna to be involved at the Greatest Royal Rumble show, despite the fact the former WWE Champion passed away in 2000. Sumo wrestler Hiroki Sumi ended up entering the titular match in his one and only pro-wrestling appearance to date.

Fightful noted that talent they had reached out to hadn't been informed what brand they will be on. It was noted that talent from both Raw and SmackDown (including the soon-to-be-released Baron Corbin) were at a Netflix commercial video shoot on October 27. This included IYO SKY, Kairi Sane, The Motor City Machine Guns, Elektra Lopez and numerous members of the Latino World Order.

As an aside, Netflix and Cody Rhodes had previously discussed a potential movie role that ended up not materialising.

Regardless of the roster, the Netflix premiere of Raw is planned to be one of the biggest episodes of the show in its 30-plus-year history.
