New NWA National Champion Crowned

The title change occurred on the latest NWA Super Powerrr

The latest episode of NWA Super Powerrr saw a seismic change to the mid-card as Chris Adonis defeated JTG to become NWA National Champion for a second time.

The match was a tournament final to crown a new champ, with Adonis (fka Chris Masters in WWE) originally vacating the title on May 25. JTG defeated Fred Rosser and El Rudo for a spot in the final, with Adonis defeating Thom Latimer and Parrow.

Adonis regaining the National Championship means that all singles titles in NWA are under the control of the Strictly Business stable, with NWA Worlds Champion Nick Aldis, and NWA Women’s World Champion Kamille also part of the faction.

Adonis initially vacated the title to enter a battle royal for a chance at Nick Aldis’ NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship, with the battle royal stipulation being that no current champions could participate. Adonis entered the battle royal in order to protect champ Aldis, due to the alliance between the two, but Trevor Murdoch eventually won the bout.
