On last night's episode of NXT, Rhea Ripley was pinned again during a tag team match against Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai, Santos Escobar defended the NXT Cruiserweight Title against Isaiah "Swerve" Scott and Karrion Kross relinquished the NXT Championship.

Imperium also defended the NXT Tag Team Championship against Breezango. Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner made quick work of the former Fashion Police in their last title match, but Fandango and Tyler Breeze proved to be more resilient this time around.

Imperium wore down Dango for much of the match, but he was still able to make a hot tag to Prince Pretty. Breeze came bursting into the ring but his momentum was quickly cut off by a vicious clothesline from Aichner. Imperium then went for the European Bomb but Breeze escaped and hit Superkicks on both the Italian and the German. Tyler tagged in Fandango moments later and The Ballroom Brawler hit a Double Leg Drop from the top rope onto Barthel and Aichner. The devastating top rope manoeuvre was enough to put the champions away as Dango covered Aichner for the 1-2-3.

With that, Breezango are your new NXT Tag Team Champions. The title change came as a shock to many, particularly as Imperium only defended the title twice, but Aichner and Barthel may well be heading back across the pond as NXT UK is set to resume TV tapings soon ahead of its return on September 17.
