Several changes made to WWE NXT for The CW premiere
Oct 2, 2024
Following much anticipation, WWE NXT premiered on The CW from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois on Tuesday, October 1.
It was expected that WWE would make several changes to NXT for the move to The CW and that was indeed the case, with a new silver NXT logo being revealed at the opening of Tuesday night's episode. The new logo has done away with the old white and gold design, swapping it out for a black and silver design that had been compared to the Las Vegas Raiders.
A new theme of 'Millions From Now' by 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne also aired at the beginning of WWE NXT on The CW.
WWE changed up the NXT title belts too. WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels opened NXT's premiere on The CW and noted fans couldn't have a new NXT without new championship belts. New WWE NXT and NXT Women's titles were then revealed, with the designs remaining similar to the championships used on USA Network, although the logos have been switched out.
It didn't take long for the WWE NXT Title to have a new champion as Trick Williams defeated Ethan Page to regain the NXT Championship during the CW premiere.
