A new X-Division Champion was crowned on the November 7 edition of TNA IMPACT, with an unlikely name taking the title from champion ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey.

Bailey headed into the match in Chicago, Illinois (taped October 27) fresh from victory over El Hijo del Vikingo at Bound For Glory, and all money was on Bailey continuing his third reign with the belt. However in his way was former TNA World Champion Moose, and in a surprise to many, the ‘Wrestling God’ walked out with the gold.

The night got worse for Bailey. When mulling over his loss in the ring, he was consoled by Speedball Mountain partner Trent Seven, only for Seven to turn on Bailey and give him a low blow. If this will lead to a long feud remains to be seen, with Bailey’s TNA contract believed to be expiring soon unless a new deal is reached.

For Moose this is his first run with the X-Division Championship - after all, it isn’t about weight limits it's about no limits. For Bailey, this third run with the strap ends at 44 days, having briefly dropped it to Zachary Wentz for a fortnight in late August.
