Nick Aldis Returns To IMPACT Wrestling At Rebellion 2023

Nick Aldis is back in IMPACT Wrestling

IMPACT Wrestling added a main-event talent to their roster during Sunday's Rebellion pay-per-view from Toronto, Canada.

A new IMPACT World Champion had to be crowned at the show after Josh Alexander relinquished the championship due to injury but before Steve Maclin vs. KUSHIDA could get underway, Nick Aldis made his return to IMPACT Wrestling to join Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt at the announce desk.

The former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion then confirmed he had re-signed with IMPACT, simply saying: "The conversations have ended, the deal is done. Nick Aldis is back in IMPACT Wrestling."

Aldis' first rival was seemingly revealed shortly after following Maclin's win over KUSHIDA to capture the IMPACT World Championship. Scott D'Amore presented the title to Maclin but the new champion attacked the IMPACT President from behind. This prompted Aldis to get into the ring to confront the new champion before the former Forgotten Son left the ring and headed backstage.

Aldis has a long history with IMPACT, having performed for the promotion from 2008 until 2015 as Magnus, during which he became a one-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion and two-time TNA World Tag Team Champion. He then briefly returned to IMPACT in 2017 after the merger with Global Force Wrestling before coming back again in 2022 for matches at Multiverse of Matches and Slammiversary.

The 36-year-old had spent the past several years in the National Wrestling Alliance, where he reigned as the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion for 1309 days between 2017 and 2021. He left the promotion at the end of 2022 following an acrimonious fallout with Billy Corgan that saw Aldis be suspended for his final months with the NWA.
