Nick Aldis Vs. Trevor Murdoch Set For NWA When Our Shadows Fall

Nick Aldis will defend the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Trevor Murdoch at the When Our Shadows Fall pay-per-view on June 6. 

Murdoch earned the opportunity on last night's edition of NWA Power by winning a 14-man battle royal. The former NWA National Champion, Thom Latimer and Chris Adonis were the final three men and Murdoch managed to dump them both over the top rope to pick up the win. 

Aldis attempted to attack Murdoch following the match, but the former WWE Superstar fought back and connected with a Top Rope Bulldog before the champion scurried backstage. 

Murdoch was one of the favourites heading into the battle royal, having feuded with Strictly Business in recent weeks.

The June 6 pay-per-view match against Murdoch will be Aldis' third title defence in 2021. He previously defeated Jaysin Strife at a Magnum Pro Wrestling show back in January and he later vanquished Aron Stevens at Back For The Attack in March. 

The NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title bout is the only match announced for When Our Shadows Fall at the time of writing.
