Nick Aldis Would Love To Wrestle At A UK WWE WrestleMania Event

Nick Aldis wants to wrestle in a WWE WrestleMania ring in the UK

Nick Aldis may currently be ruling the roost on SmackDown as General Manager, but there’s still plenty in the tank of the former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion.

Although it doesn’t look as though Aldis will be stepping foot in a WWE ring soon, the ‘National Treasure’ has admitted that he’d be tempted to don his tights again if WWE ever held WrestleMania in the UK, with Aldis saying the following to The Daily Mail:

“I watched Money in the Bank. I particularly remember John Cena coming out and saying that we needed a WrestleMania to take place in London. And I will say this, if that were to happen – which it will, I’m very confident of that — I don’t have any intel on it, but you don’t say something like that without there being intention. If that were to happen, I would certainly do everything I could to be a good fit for that show. It all comes down to timing and opportunity and what the fans want to see if and if the fans want to see it, the opportunity is there and it’s good for business, never say never,” said Aldis.

Whilst Cena teased Mania coming to London, there are currently no plans within WWE to bring the ‘Showcase of the Immortals’ to the UK. WWE did run Cardiff’s Principality Stadium for Clash at the Castle in 2022, and also held Money in the Bank in London’s O2 Arena in Summer 2023.
