Longtime deathmatch icon Nick Gage is reportedly going to be one of the subjects on the yet-to-be-announced third season of the popular Dark Side of the Ring documentary series. If true, the episode would likely air sometime in 2021.
Word of a Gage episode was dropped by one-time indy opponent David Arquette, who was badly cut up during his match with Gage. The former WCW champion made mention of Dark Side's involvement during an appearance on Jim Norton and Sam Roberts' radio show.
"Nick Gage is an amazing wrestler, he's a lot better wrestler than people might think," Arquette said. "They might think it's just a deathmatch situation and (he's) just a tough guy, but he's actually a very skilled wrestler. A lot of factors came in that situation. We have no hard feelings and they're doing a Dark Side of the Ring with him and I hope to participate in (it)."
Vice TV has not formally announced a third season for Dark Side of the Ring, though many signs indicate that it's likely to happen. Producer Evan Husney has claimed that Vice (despite not making an announcement either way) wants to make it happen.
