Nikki Bella Details Backstage WWE Royal Rumble Reunion With John Cena

WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella has detailed her recent backstage reunion with ex-fiancé John Cena.

Nikki and Cena ran into each other at the 2025 Royal Rumble, where Cena finished runner-up in the men's match and Nikki made a surprise return to the ring as the number 30 entrant in the women's version.

Discussing their meeting during a live edition of the Let's Be Honest podcast, Nikki noted that it was the first time she'd seen her former flame in seven or eight years, before adding:

"It was very quick. I was in a circle talking to people. He came to [shake] everyone's hand. He shook my hand. But the thing was, when he walked away, all the girls were like, 'Oh my gosh'. I'm like, 'Shh, shh, he's married, be respectful'. And that was it. That was nice, and it was great because breaking the ice and you know, we just both happened to be back at the same time. It's a good feeling".

Bella and Cena were together between 2012 and 2018, when Nikki called off their engagement following disagreements over starting a family.

Cena married Shay Shariatzadeh in 2020. Nikki married Artem Chigvintsev in 2020, though they divorced last year.

The two-time Divas Champion has vowed to return to the ring following her Royal Rumble appearance.
