There has been plenty of contract news involving a whole host of former and current NJPW wrestlers in recent weeks, and this comes following a report back in February that several wrestlers on the roster were working without deals. The likes of Jeff Cobb, Kevin Knight, and Gabe Kidd have been in the news in recent months, both in terms of expiring deals and official exits from the promotion.

The latest name to now officially be a free agent is TJ Perkins, as revealed by Fightful Select. It is reported that NJPW had offered TJP a new deal, but it was declined. Despite this, with him now entering the world of free agency, it is noted that he will still continue working with NJPW on a freelance basis, with the two sides remaining on amicable terms. TJP is a 3-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion, and has been a part of NJPW ever since 2019 after his WWE exit.

It was also revealed this week that Tetsuya Naito was out of contract with NJPW, with reports suggested that he has not yet signed a new deal with the company.
