NJPW Re-Signs Gabe Kidd

NJPW sign Gabe Kidd to a new deal

New Japan Pro-Wrestling have signed a rising star to a new deal.

It emerged earlier this year that Gabe Kidd's deal with NJPW was set to expire in January 2024 and it did, in fact, expire. Fightful Select reported that Kidd worked in New Japan without a contract for around a month and a half but he had re-signed with the promotion as of this past weekend. There is no word on the terms of the deal but Kidd has since confirmed his re-signing, tweeting: "YOU'RE WELCOME @tanahashi1_100."

Gabe Kidd joined New Japan as a young lion in 2019 following an invitation by Katsuyori Shibata at a RevPro event. Kidd made his debut in 2020 and he joined Bullet Club War Dogs in 2023. He is a former NJPW STRONG Tag Team Champion with Alex Coughlin.

Kidd is seen as having a bright future in New Japan and the belief is he can become a "prominent name" in the promotion.

While out of contract, Gabe Kidd competed in the Cage Match at the New Beginning in Osaka between Bullet Club War Dogs and United Empire. He also advanced to the second round of the New Japan Cup before being eliminated by Shingo Takagi.
