Although we are several months removed from Wrestle Kingdom 19, New Japan Pro-Wrestling have revealed plans for the week of the event, hoping to make the show the biggest Wrestle Kingdom in company history.

NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi and STARDOM President Taro Okada came together at a press conference to reveal their plans for the start of 2025.

With STARDOM officially under the NJPW banner after a full buy-out of the promotion from former owners Bushiroad, plans are to integrate STARDOM events alongside NJPW events as the two companies essentially take over Tokyo for the week.

Wrestle Kingdom week will kick off in late December with STARDOM’s traditional year end show in Ryogoku Sumo Hall on December 29. January 2 will host the Pro-Wrestling Matsuri fan festival, Jan. 3 will have the official Wrestle Kingdom kickoff as well as STARDOM New Year Dream, with Wrestle Kingdom 19 taking place as ever in the Tokyo Dome on January 4.

The week will close out with the recently announced Wrestle Dynasty show in the Tokyo Dome on January 5, then New Year Dash on January 6. Wrestle Dynasty is a new addition to NJPW’s new year plans, with it announced during Forbidden Door on June 30 that Wrestle Dynasty will feature talent from NJPW, All Elite Wrestling, Ring of Honor, CMLL, and STARDOM.

Tanahashi noted during the press conference that the ‘key point of the week is to bring fans together across Japan, and around the world’.
