NJPW Super J-Cup Winner Crowned, Issues Challenge For Wrestle Kingdom 15

And the winner is...

We have a Super J-Cup winner for 2020, and they've revealed their plans for their next major encounter.

For the second year in a row, El Phantasmo is the tournament's winner. On Saturday night, Phantasmo defeated ACH in the Super J-Cup tournament final in Port Huemene, CA, after previously eliminating Lio Rush and Blake Christian. ACH previously defeated TJP and Chris Bey en route to the final round.

Phantasmo actually attacked ACH before the final match began, striking him with the event trophy. The two went back and forth across a 16 minute match, which concluded with Phantasmo hitting a superkick, and then his CR2 for the win.

Phantasmo joins Jushin "Thunder" Liger and Naomichi Marufuji as two-time winners of the event.

After the match, Phantasmo was awarded the mangled trophy and the golden jacket. He wrecked the trophy further and also threw the jacket down.

He then cut a promo, saying that the Junior division was his. He called out Hiromu Takahashi, and personally made a match for he and Takahashi for Wrestle Kingdom 15. Takahashi (who recently won the Best of the Super Juniors) issued a challenge to whomever won the Super J-Cup.
