WWE Raw on Netflix premiere undergoes edits
Jan 10, 2025
The on-demand version of the Monday Night Raw premiere on Netflix has been edited on the streaming service.
The live broadcast of Raw on January 6 aired for just over 3 hours but the version for fans to watch on demand on Netflix has been edited down to 2 hours and 25 minutes, with commercial breaks and interviews that only aired on the international broadcast being removed.
Changes were also made to explicit language that aired during the live broadcast, with all of the swearing during The Rock's promo being censored, including on closed captions. Chants of "f*ck you Solo" during the Tribal Combat Match between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa have also been removed.
Despite the edits, the boos for Hulk Hogan have been kept in the broadcast. WWE were reportedly unhappy about the booing for Hogan being one of the main talking points following the Raw Netflix premiere.
The on-demand version of WWE NXT New Year's Evil available on Netflix outside of the United States has also been edited. The run time is now 1 hour and 21 minutes and The Rock's swearing during his show-closing promo has also been muted.
