Paige Responds To SmackDown Segment Getting Cut

Heading onto this week’s August 14 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE had promoted a promo from former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Paige on the back of The Bella Twins turning heel and attacking her in recent weeks. However, when SmackDown went off the air, Paige was nowhere to be seen.

Taking to social media, Paige posted the word “lol”, prompting a response from rival Nikki Bella;

“What was that @Saraya??? I think I missed what you said.” 

Paige responded back, making note of the fact that her time was cut on the broadcast, while also remaining in character to build her feud with Bella. 

“You’d think you’d want women to have segments instead of being cut. You’ve always been full of shit. It’s alright I’ll just see ya in person next week bb.” 

Post-SmackDown, WWE posted Paige’s pre-recorded promo to social media, calling it a “digital exclusive”. The feud between Paige & The Bella Twins has already been dealt its share of bad luck following the injury to Brie Bella at SummerSlam 2026. In a match that was nearly thrown out due to the injury, Brie Bella suffered a broken scapula and is expected to be out for between 3 and 6 months.
