PCO Done With TNA After Destroying The Digital Media Title In Shoot Moment At The People Vs. GCW
GCW claiming PCO went into business for himself in destroying the TNA Digital Media Title
Jan 20, 2025
PCO destroying the TNA Digital Media Championship was a shoot, according to multiple reports.
Pierre Carl Ouellet was in action at The People vs. GCW on Sunday night, winning a Kickoff Rumble during the promotion's Hammerstein Ballroom show. Following his win, PCO grabbed the TNA Digital Media Championship, placed the belt on a chair, and proceeded to hit the title repeatedly with a sledgehammer. GCW's ring announcer Emil Jay was eventually able to calm PCO down, at which point the former ROH World Champion cut a promo on TNA, saying he was the reason the promotion had sold out one of their biggest shows and that he had sold the most t-shirts out of anyone on the TNA roster. Before PCO's promo finished, the live feed cut to a video package.
PWInsider has reported that PCO is done with TNA Wrestling after his contract expired at the end of 2024 and him destroying the TNA Digital Media Championship was legitimate. Fightful Select has reported that TNA sources were shocked by the moment and noted PCO was supposed to finish up with the promotion at their upcoming tapings in San Antonio. He is not expected back in TNA following The People vs. GCW.
GCW have claimed to Fightful that PCO went into business for himself in destroying the TNA Digital Media Title. The indy promotion claimed that PCO insinuated he was doing something that was part of a storyline for the next TNA TV tapings and GCW didn't know the incident was going to play out how it happened. GCW further claimed they quickly became aware the incident wasn't part of a storyline.
PCO has since tweeted: "People don't care for victims, they care for the ones who stand up and Monsters their way through….."
PCO had been a part of TNA Wrestling since January 2022. He has been the reigning TNA Digital Media Champion since winning the belt at Slammiversary 2024.
