Penta Teaser Airs On WWE Raw Netflix Premiere, Match With Chad Gable Teased For Next Week

Fans seemingly won't have to wait much longer to see Penta on WWE TV.

Another teaser aired during the Monday Night Raw premiere on Netflix on January 6, but this time it was officially confirmed the short clips were for Penta, with the luchador's name filling his mask.

No further details were announced but Chad Gable later appeared in a backstage segment with Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and said he was better than any luchador and would face anybody. Pearce said he had an opponent in mind for next week's episode of Raw from the SAP Center in San Jose, California.

Penta became a free agent in December 2024 and it has been expected for months that he was WWE-bound.

Penta El Zero Miedo (FKA Pentagon Jr.) had been a part of All Elite Wrestling since the promotion was founded in 2019 along with Lucha Bros tag team partner (and real-life brother) Rey Fenix. Penta had a tumultuous exit from AEW, with the promotion adding injury time to the Lucha Bros' contracts as AEW were upset after reportedly discovering that Penta and Fenix had held talks with WWE about joining the company while still signed to AEW. 

While Penta's deal eventually expired in December, Rey Fenix is signed until well into 2025 as AEW added one year of injury time to his contract. 

Across his career with AAA, AEW, Ring of Honor, TNA (then IMPACT Wrestling), and Lucha Underground, Penta is a former AEW World Tag Team Champion, AEW World Trios Champion, ROH World Tag Team Champion, IMPACT World Champion, IMPACT World Tag Team Champion, two-time Lucha Underground Champion, and three-time AAA World Tag Team Champion.
